“Speaking up has a high price, but so does silence. Remaining silent feels claustrophobic, and responding is risky. Perhaps the solution is to understand that there is no elegance, decorum, or security in women’s silence and that the decision to break it and speak out belongs to them, and is never inappropriate”.
